DRAGOMIR BAJALICA


Dragomir is a creative and enthusiastic editor with more than seventeen years of experience in documentary. Drago started his career cutting on a Steenbeck using 16 and 35mm film. His sense of cinematic storytelling has caught the attention of many well-known directors and he was invited to teach at Prague's prestigious FAMU film school. He has worked for BBC's Storyville and all other major broadcasters in the United Kingdom, as well as in Europe and the US. Many of the films he edited went on to a theatrical release and the festival circuit. Currently he is in the process of completing his first film in Spain for TVE. Drago is fluent in Serbo-Croatian, English, Czech and Russian and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and German.


DAVINA BREILLET

A versatile freelancer based in Barcelona and Paris, Davina Breillet specialises in documentary, working as a production manager, researcher and assistant director… and sometimes as all three at the same time, providing great support to directors and producers during the whole production process! Guided by curiosity and understanding of this world, she aims at working on ambitious international documentaries, juggling different languages and cultures, as in BUCAREST' by Albert Solé; THE LIGHT BULB CONSPIRACY, by Cosima Dannoritzer or SAND WARS, by Denis Delestrac, amongst others.

 

NICOLAS GUILLEMINOT

Nicolas Guilleminot (Italy, 1964) is a self-trained photographer and since the early '90s he has collaborated as a freelance in the production department of several Italian audiovisual companies such as: The Family, BlackMamba (Milan), Bottega Cinema (Florence), dedicating himself to commercials, music videos and reportages. In 2007, Nicolas founded Attika, a production company based in Barcelona, with the ambition of using his skills and experience as a producer in the field of creative documentary. Since 2009, he has been co-producing with RTVE the feature-length documentary ANGELS & DUST, which is currently in postproduction.

 

MOLLY MALCOLM

Molly holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has worked playing leading roles in various stage productions in Milwaukee, Seattle, and Off-Broadway in NYC. Shortly after arriving in Barcelona in 1998, Molly began working in film, television and voice-overs. Trilingual in English, Spanish and Catalan, she has worked on various international film and television projects. This year she will be seen in Roger Gual’s MENU DEGUSTACIÓ and Jorge Dorados’ MINDSCAPE. Recent credits film and tv credits include RED LIGHTS and the Telecinco series LA BARONESA. Molly is currently the narrator for the WHOLE FOODS documentary series 9.3 and was the narrator for Cosima Dannoritzer's THE LIGHT BULB CONSPIRACY.

 

LORIS OMEDES

Barcelona-based producer who started Bausan Films in 1989 to produce films that bring together art and entertainment and, last but not least, tell stories with a personal point of view about our society and the real world. And here the unofficial version: he makes films to have an excuse to throw big parties and premieres, and to be able to travel to shoots and festivals. Amongst his productions, the following stand out: BALSEROS, SEPTIEMBRES, DIARIO DE UN ASTRONAUTA, LT22 RADIO LA COLIFATA, MARÍA Y YO, EL FOSO, and the feature films CENIZAS DEL CIELO y THE PELAYOS.

 

HANS RICHTER

Actor. Voice artist for dubbing, voice-over and animation. Dubbing director. Translator of theatre plays and screenplays. First training as an actor in Germany from 1985 to 1988. State Theatre Diploma in 1992. From 1989 to 1992 voice studies with the opera singer Peter Liebhard. From 1993 to 1997 intensified studies of acting for theatre and film with Dominique De Fazio in Rome. Since 2002 voice teacher at the Teatre School Estudis de Teatre, Barcelona. A lifelong explorer of the word. My passion is to follow the gesture of silence and to experience the body of a living word.

 

DANIELLE SCHLEIF

After beginning her career in children's television on productions for PBS and the Jim Henson Company, Danielle Schleif moved into documentary at HBO. Her work there in scouting and development included her collaboration as associate producer on such Oscar-nominated films as the Emmy-winning BALSEROS, Sundance winner TWIST OF FAITH and festival favorite SPELLBOUND. Since her arrival in Europe in 2005, she has been involved in such non-fiction projects as SEPTEMBERS (IDFA, with Oscar-nominated director Carles Bosch), ALONDRA: A TRANSSEXUAL DIARY (highly successful broadcast in Spain, sold in a variety of territories), WELCOME TO YOUR FAMILY (Televisió de Catalunya) and THE KINGDOM OF MISTER EDHI.

 

JOAN ÚBEDA

At 16, Joan dreamed of becoming an electronics engineer and he even once met a PDP-11 machine. At 18 he joined Video-Nou, a collective which pioneered the use of video as a social communication tool. In 1983 he entered TV3 and soon after became a founding member of '30 Minuts', its flagship current affairs programme. From 1993 to 1998 he co-created highly successful formats with a documentary approach (CIUTADANS, LES COSES COM SÓN, VIDES PRIVADES, BELLVITGE HOSPITAL'). In 1999, after a year at Stanford University as a Knight Fellow, he took charge of Media 3.14, which produces factual programming and documentaries (THE DALI DIMENSION, THE MAN WHO UNFOLDED A THOUSAND HEARTS, THE LIGHT BULB CONSPIRACY). Joan believes that authorship is not at odds with clear storytelling.

 

JUSTIN WEBSTER

Justin came to filmmaking through writing for newspapers, TV and radio, and for magazines, often working with photographers. With Sumpta Ayuso he set up JWP, a production company, and has directed and produced dozens of documentaries and reportages, of various styles, usually for international audiences from Barcelona. His filmography as a director includes FC BARCELONA CONFIDENTIAL, THE MADRID CONNECTION, LAST WHITE MAN STANDING and CONVICT THE JUDGE. JWP has co-produced with BBC Storyville, TVC, the Danish Film Institute, RTS, ARTE, ITVS, Canal +, Al Jazeera English and others, and his films have been distributed widely. He is passionate about non-fiction storytelling and our relationship with reality.

 

GEORGIA WYSS

Documentary, film and commercials editor. Presently working in Barcelona with past working experience in New York, Zurich and Berlin. Recent works include environmental, humanitarian and music documentaries: Trailer / additional editing on Isabel Coixet’s THE SECRET LIFE OF WORDS, the feature documentary A CRUDE AWAKENING (shown at over 70 film festivals, winner of five 'best documentary' awards), VIDAS SONORAS, directed by Wilson Osorio, the feature documentary THE LIGHT BULB CONSPIRACY, directed by Cosima Dannoritzer and produced by Joan Úbeda, winner of 'best documentary' at the Spanish Television Academy Awards 2011, and NEVER TO CRY, directed by Alissa Creamer and co-produced by Televisió de Catalunya. Georgia speaks English, German, Spanish and Catalan.
